Construction of another School in Yarsha was started

 

The great earthquake of 2015 has left devastation in Nepal to this day. The region of Gorkha is located near the epicenter of the quake at that time and can only be reached by unpaved road. A large part of the houses and infrastructure was severely damaged by the earthquake.

The problems of the village Yarsha are manifold. The majority of the population are mostly small farmers with little income. There is a shortage of water and they are dependent on medical help and education from outside. There is hardly any help from the government.

In cooperation with Children of the Mountain Austria and Naturfreunde Niederösterreich, Volkshilfe is now supporting the second construction of a school building in Yarsha. The completed school building with six classrooms will provide education for all primary school children in the area.
